Qualifications:
• 8+ years of experience in marketing, consulting, strategy, or within an agency environment.
• Strong analytical capability and comfort with data, research tools, and market intelligence
• Ability to turn insights into frameworks, action plans, and compelling narratives.
Job Objective:
Directs strategic business plan processes, drives operational excellence, across the operating companies to maximize achievement of customer satisfaction, workforce effectiveness and operational excellence performance.
Provides strategic leadership that fosters a culture of management and personal accountability, employee and public safety and customer satisfaction. Supports the development and implementation of short and long-term business plans that ensure achievement of jurisdictional and corporate business objectives.
Essential Responsibilities:
• Enhance performance of the organization by evaluating scorecard results and verifying that action plans are established and executed. Drive for completion of all strategic objectives outlined in the area’s Operating Plan.
• Lead and implement business strategies and operational plans for department to improve overall business performance and the strategic direction, management, and implementation of innovation improvements.
• Strategically plan and implement solutions in partnership with other areas focus on improving employee productivity and enhancements to customer service. Ensure business process improvements are prioritized and communicated to the appropriate stakeholders. Monitor performance and effectiveness of specific business process changes.
• Lead the communication of the operational excellence, organization’s performance results to improve understanding of strategic objectives of organization.
• Develops and maintains effective relationships across the enterprise to ensure timely and effective information sharing, issue resolution, business learning and common best practices implementation.
• Attracts, recruits and retains a highly motivated and engaged workforce. Establishes and communicates clear performance expectations so that employees know how their work contributes to the achievement of jurisdictional and corporate objectives. Fosters a culture of operational excellence, management, personal accountability and safety.
• In partnership with senior leadership, supports the development and implementation of annual and long-term business plans and budgets that effectively utilizes resources and positions the organization to meet future business needs.
Qualifications we would like:
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Engineering, Process Management or a combination of education and experience providing equivalent knowledge.
• Minimum of 10 years of utility experience, which includes at least 5 years of management experience.
• Gas, Distribution, Transmission and Plant experience preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Demonstrated leadership skills and ability to implement projects that cross organizations, business units and professional disciplines, supporting culture change and building business acumen.
• Demonstrated understanding of regulatory requirements and their business and operational implications.
• Ability to reach results mandatory.
• Travel may be required.
