Our client is a leading global provider of fuelling and convenience store equipment and technology. The company specializes in products such as fuel dispensers, point-of-sale systems, payment solutions, automatic tank gauging, and forecourt merchandising, serving both retail and commercial fuelling operations worldwide.
The Job:
This is a unique stand-alone role where you will be the sole Finance Leader in Thailand, (located in Khwaeng Bang Khlo, Khet Bang Kho Laem), managing all aspects of finance independently. You’ll have full ownership from day one and, and you will provide hands-on accounting and controllership as the business grows. To break it down, your responsibilities will include:
Financial Reporting & Management:
• Own monthly, quarterly and annual close; deliver management accounts within 3 business days of period end.
• Prepare P&L, balance sheet and cash flow statements for local statutory and group reporting (US GAAP). Ensure timely submission of required reports through various financial reporting systems.
• Mediate between the organization, employees and stakeholders, on financial issues for amicable resolution of differences.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide financial insights and support in strategic planning and decision-making.
Cash Flow Management:
• Manage cash flow by monitoring daily operations, analysing cash needs, and making recommendations to optimise working capital.
• Oversee any other treasury functions and cash management of the company.
• Implement strategies to optimise working capital and ensure liquidity requirements are met.
Audit, Tax and Compliance:
• Ensure the accounts are in compliance with relevant accounting standards.
• Plans and prepare for audit engagements and oversees the audit process.
• Identify potential tax risks and develop strategies to mitigate them.
• Collaborate with tax consultants to implement tax-efficient strategies.
• Stay updated on regulatory changes and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
Finance operations & systems (includes legacy/non-preferred systems)
• Oversee AP/AR, payroll coordination, fixed assets and reconciliations.
• Work effectively with existing/legacy systems and manual processes; deliver pragmatic improvements and lead migration/automation projects where feasible.
• Document SOPs and ensure data integrity across systems.
Credit Control:
• Implement credit policies, review customer creditworthiness and manage AR ageing with commercial teams.
Leadership & Management:
• Manage and mentor Finance team of the company, fostering a collaborative and growth-oriented environment.
• Responsible for Finance team’s recruitment and training if needed in the future.
• Collaborates with cross-functional teams and supports the company to achieve its goals.
• Collaborates with external accounting firm on accounting and finance transactional matters.
Ad-hoc & projects:
• Support process transformation, ERP improvements, or other regional projects and tasks as required.

To be successful in this role, YOU will bring:
• Degree in Accounting or equivalent and a CPD holder
• 8+ years progressive accounting/finance experience; minimum 3 years in a controllership/managerial role (flexible for high-potential candidates).
• Practical experience with ERP systems, consolidation tools (e.g.HFM)
• Advanced Excel and Express and a tech-savvy mindset.
• Solid knowledge of Thai statutory reporting and corporate tax; experience with US GAAP/group reporting
• Fluent in Thai and English (written and spoken).
• Highly detail oriented with proven accuracy in financial reporting.
• Resilient and demonstrate maturity and integrity
• Able to multi-task in a fact paced and dynamic environment
• Good communication skills and able to interact with different levels of management.
