Our client, is seeking to appoint a Traditional Humanoid Robotics Engineer. Working in core kinematic and control systems powering humanoid robotics pipeline.
The job is located in Robotics, Simulation, and ML-Driven Humanoid Systems. Controlling/own the rigid constraints and inverse kinematics layers of the human and hand pose pipeline, build simulation-based solutions using NVIDIA Omniverse, and support the broader ML Robotics team.
This is ideal for engineers with deep experience in humanoid robotics, kinematic systems, and physics-based simulation.
Responsibilities include:
• Refine and improve the inverse kinematic systems across our pipeline
• Own the final rigid constraints step of the human and hand pose pipeline
Ongoing
• Support the ML Robotics team with classical robotics expertise
• Build and maintain simulation-based solutions for human and hand pose pipeline using NVIDIA Omniverse
• Design and implement control systems for humanoid robotic standing and locomotion for simulation and to improve data realism
• Bridge the gap between learned policies and physics-based constraints
• Collaborate on sim-to-real transfer and domain randomization strategies.
Required Skills:
• Forward and Inverse Kinematics — deep expertise in kinematic chain modeling, IK solvers, and joint-space optimization
• Control Theory — strong foundation in classical control (PID, MPC, state-space methods, trajectory optimization)
• Humanoid Robotic Standing — experience with balance control, center-of-mass estimation, and stability for bipedal systems
• Robotic Simulation (NVIDIA Omniverse) — hands-on experience building and validating robotic systems in Omniverse/Isaac Sim
Strong Signals
• Experience at leading humanoid robotics companies or labs
• Familiarity with physics engines (PhysX, MuJoCo, Bullet)
• Experience with hand pose estimation and dexterous manipulation
• Strong programming skills in Python and C++
• Background in mechanical engineering or applied mathematics
• Experience with ROS or similar robotics middleware
You Are
• Deep in classical robotics fundamentals, not just ML-first
• Comfortable working at the boundary of simulation and real-world systems
• Excited about humanoid robotics and embodied AI
• Able to collaborate closely with ML researchers and engineers
Why This Role
• Own the kinematic and control backbone of a humanoid robotics pipeline
• Work with cutting-edge simulation tools (NVIDIA Omniverse)
• Direct impact on how real-world humanoid systems move and interact
• Collaborate with top ML and CV researchers at the frontier of embodied AI
Compensation Range: $450, 000 Plus Performance Bonus.
